Sense & Sensibility Art Print (Artist – Tom Hoban)
Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility is the most astute study of middle-class family life written in the nineteenth century. It follows the stories of the Dashwood sisters, Marianne and Elinor as they contend with love, loss and hope in a society which contsricts their very being. Elinor Dashwood, head-strong, clever and always ready to speak her mind, remains one of the greatest heroines of classic fiction. The 1995 film adaptation of Sense & Sensibility remains by far the best screen-version of any of Jane Austen’s novels.
