The tumultuous and doomed romantic affair between Cathy and Heathcliff has inspired hunderds of novels and artworks. This work by Dublin artist Ruth Matthews conveys perfectly the intensity and isolation of the two lovers which is one of the novel’s major themes.

About the Artist
This print was designed for LitVox by Ruth Matthews. Ruth is an artists based in Dublin. She studied animation at IADT Dún Laoghaire. Her interests have since turned to illustration, where she likes to explore dark themes of the macabre and gothic romance. More of her work can be found here.
We print all of our pieces in Dublin on 350gsm premium ivory card with a silk finish. LitVox only use high-quality materials and inks for our original artwork.
